Value-Added Processes

Shawano Specialty Papers has the ability to custom design product solutions to meet specific customer requirements.
  • ULTRA-BOND™ Technology - Adhesively laminates substrates to provide unique performance characteristics and constructions.

  • Thermo Bonding - Laminates substrates via heat to provide unique performance characteristics and constructions.

  • Dry Material Addition - Capability to add particulates to substrate laminations.  Examples of particulates that could be used include super absorbent polymers, deodorizers and odorizers.

  • Synthetic Fiber Reinforcement - Reinforces cellulose substrates with synthetic fibers or scrim to increase strength and durability.

  • NSF-Approved, Carbon-Impregnated Filtration - Technology to provide activated carbon in a roll form.  Activated carbon removes impurities from drinking water and air.

  • Surface Treatment - Through new technology, solution-activated treatments can be applied to paper, tissue or nonwovens.

  • Printing Capabilities - Our four-color flexographic press provides the capability for unique printing applications.

  • Embossing Capabilities - Embossing can be used to restructure the bulk, appearance and texture of a sheet.
