Carrier Tissue

Shawano Specialty Papers (SSP) is a producer of carrier tissue used in the manufacturing process of incontinence and feminine hygiene products and serves as a transfer and cover sheet for absorbent fluff pulp. We have worked closely with our customers to develop a carrier sheet that is lightweight and can be run efficiently at high speeds. We offer two types of carrier tissue:

High Porosity Carrier Tissue
High porosity carrier tissue is designed to allow an easy passage of air resulting in more precise transfer control of the fluff pulp.

Low Porosity Carrier Tissue
Low porosity carrier tissue is utilized when an adhesive is applied to hold the fluff in place through the production process. SSP’ low porosity carrier tissue is designed with high tensile strength to allow for variations of speed and tension during the manufacturing process.
